I had the pleasure of photographing S at 37 weeks recently. She has 5 girls and is pregnant with #6 - her first boy!! Doesn’t she look amazing?! Not even one stretch mark on her body …

Congratulations, S! I hope to meet little Z in the near future!

… because I am most sure I will be able to say “I knew him when” about this almost 7 year old. P brought his guitar and harmonica to our session, told me how he likes to play his friend’s drums and how he wants a violin. Yeah, I can easily see him becoming a star someday. Remember me when you’re famous, P! Maybe I can do photos for your band …

When I first met him he told me flat out that he didn’t smile … luckily I was able to crack a few by mentioning girls. lol

Oh, and K, I went to Gap the next day and bought that brown shirt for my son! LOL

Little Miss A was such a cutie … and she decided to show off for me during our session by rolling over for the first time! Of course she made it look like she was a pro …

I love her big blue eyes …

and her perfect little belly button!!

Isn’t she adorable?!

2 years

I am on a roll lately … first a bridal, then a wedding, now an anniversary! This couple wanted some photos done to celebrate their 2 year anniversary … all dressed up in a cemetary! Definitely not your everyday request but I enjoyed the change of pace and we had fun!

Congratulations on 2 years, E & K!! May you have many, many more!

Remember that blog post not too long ago that said I don’t normally do weddings? Well, I still don’t … really. This was for yet another friend who asked if I would photograph their wedding. Funny … I seem to notice a trend here. Especially since a few other friends have already asked told me that I will be photographing their weddings in the future … and some of them aren’t even in a relationship yet! LOL I am flattered guys ;) and I do love the opportunities since it allows me to do something new and different.

Especially with this couple - it’s just so obvious how in love they are when you’re around them. So, I have WAY too many favorites from this wedding … but here are just a few we took inbetween the ceremony and the reception …

Congratulations again, P & J!! May you live happily ever after!

A few favorites from a recent bridal who was SO much fun to work with …

I hope your wedding day is spectacular, A!

R is for rock

July 3rd, 2008

I had the best time visiting my friend R. His mom and dad had me photograph him last year so I was very excited to see him again! We had hoped to go to a local park, but the rain changed our plans. I can’t say I am disappointed, though …

We started our session off with a snack. Nemo fruit snacks to be exact. R even gave me my own pack … which I ate on my drive home!

Then we got to the fun stuff … like jumping on the bed.

He even introduced me to his monkey friend. They make a great pair.

My favorite was when dad suggested rock band, though. Oh my gosh - R was too stinkin’ cute cool and took his parts very seriously. Awesome job, B family - even mom who was forced into singing for me! lol

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be out starting today and won’t be available until Monday. All emails and phone calls will be returned then!

I also ask that you keep my Dad (maybe not by blood, but he and his wife definitely “adopted” me and my family a few years ago) in your prayers. He was admitted into the hospital the other day with peritonitis and if he would have waited much longer, he may not be with us right now. He is currently in the ICU and will be in the hospital for at least 5-7 days. Thank you so much!

13 months + 13 days

June 23rd, 2008

Congratulations also go out to the ”J” family, who recently added baby “K” to their family! He was 13 days old when we had our session and super sweet.

Big sister “K” is 13 months old - and the poor thing was afraid of the sound of my camera and of my light! Here is one of the few shots I got before she became super clingy to her daddy … which wasn’t a bad thing, as I have a ton of great shots of them together. :]

Here is one from a quick swim she took with her daddy at the end of our session …

Oh, and I can’t forget “D” - who was very excited to see me,  as he has been “attention deprived” for quite some time with two babies in the house now! He would bring me his duck and I’d throw it over and over. I’m pretty sure he was sad to see me go! lol

I photographed miss “L” - the “H” family’s second daughter -  when she was 3.5 weeks old and she was such a cooperative little thing! Her mom had bought the coolest basket and throw for our session and just let me do my thing. I was very excited and hopefully she’s very happy with the results! :]

One with LuLu the Lamb - after waiting quite a bit for miss “L” to agree with this idea! lol
